Deadlands Noir: Sweet L.A.
In the world of Deadlands, death isn’t always the end. In Sweet L.A., hard-boiled shamuses won’t even die in the first place.
If a player character is killed during the gameplay in a non-climatic, underwhelming or otherwise in a not-so-fun fashion and isn’t coming back Harrowed, the player may either let the character rest in peace or continue playing him. This isn’t without a price, however, as the character’s near-death experience gains him a permanent Injury (as per rolling a failure on Incapacitation roll) if he didn’t get it already.
These Injuries may be healed with surgery.
Rolling up a new character is done as per Savage Worlds Deluxe.
