Deadlands Noir: Sweet L.A.
Your secrets and crooked smiles, they taunt and torment me. Beneath all the glamour and flashing lights, there are shadows no one sees.
The year is 1946, but the history is not our own. The West Coast was shattered in the Great Quake of 1868, revealing a super fuel called Ghost Rock. During those harsh days, when law was one’s sixshooter, the town of Lost Angels was established. The town quickly grew into a city under its charismatic leader, Reverend Ezekiah Grimme, but was destroyed by yet another natural disaster, The Great Flood of 1880.
Over 60 years later, the rebuilt city is in the bloom. It is the home to the best movie studios, star actors and actresses and the richest Ghost Rock tycoons. However, even though the frontier days are over and old tales of Hucksters, Shamans and undead gunslingers forgotten, the city has its troubles. Along with gangsters, loan sharks and all the bad seeds that follow success, there just might be something sinister out there, lurking in the shadows.
